CompX NARC iD Inventory Control System! Seamlessly integrates with the CompX eLock and NARC Box.
The CompX NARC iD Inventory Control System uses RFID tags and provides complete chain of custody information on narcotics, users, vehicles and consumption. Provides tracking information for single-dose narcotics and automatically enrolls narcotics into the software.
The Narc iD system consists of clear plastic capsules, ampoules, vials or pre-loaded syringe, caps for the vials, RFID tags and a tote to carry the narcotics.
CompX Narc iD uses Custom programmed tags provide automatic recognition of narcotic type and quantity – no user input required. Tamper evident capsules hold narcotics and are color coded for easy identification. Drug Tote ensures accurate reading of all RFID tracking tags. Audit trails identify user, date, time of entry and narcotic consumed.
How Narc iD work?
At shift start, EMT uses valid credential to open NARC Box installed on vehicle which creates an event that will be logged into the audit trail. EMT places the tote carrying all narcotics into Narc box. Once the Narc box door is closed, Narc iD scans the box and automatically enrolls all narcotics and logs it to the EMT that placed the tote into the box. To retrieve the tote for a dispatched incident, EMT uses valid credential to access Narc box and removes the NARC tote. To administer any of the narcotics in the tote, EMT breaks the RFID tag and cap and removes narcotic. Once the RFID tag is broken that narcotic is considered consumed. EMT returns tote to Narc box and once the Narc box door is secured, Narc iD scans the box again and determines if any drug was consumed by scanning for RFID tags remaining in the tote by comparing this scan with the previous initial scan. If a narcotic has been consumed, the EMT can now input these conditions via the keypad on the Narc box: incident number, broken, expired and lost.
To aide in narcotics identification, CompX has created a color standard. All narcotics will be tagged with a RFID tag (tamper evident) and color coded. Each narcotic will have its own dedicated color code and will correspond with the matching RFID tag. Each RFID tag is pre-programmed to auto-enroll by narcotic name.
The CompX Narc box is a heavy duty constructed; seam welded 14-gauge steel box. The gray finish is highly scratch-resistant and includes a built-in 12V-9V converter for dedicated power on-board EMS vehicles. Narc box has a spring latch for easy relocking and comes standard with mechanical key override, and a door position switch provides alert notifications such as unauthorized entry and door ajar. The CompX eLock is an access control device that provides audit trail reporting and the ability to use existing card credentials.
LockView (sold separately) is software developed by CompX that works with all versions of CompX eLock. LockView 5/5Pro is used with any 300, 200 Series or 150 Series eLocks; cabinet or refrigerator / freezer, networked or non-networked. Administrators can establish a database of users and a database of eLocks, manage temperature monitoring data, view audit trail logs, alarming parameters, and notification alerts. LockView 5Pro is easy to use, with many programmable options, and can be used to update all eLocks through a facility’s existing Wi-Fi or Ethernet infrastructure (300 Series).
